Have you heard about GO Box? It’s a great local service [I've been using] which helps reduce trash by providing reusable to-go containers to use at the downtown Portland food carts and other places like Whole Foods in the Pearl.

The food carts alone use about 60,000 disposable containers a month! That’s a lot of trash. For $12 a year you can get your meal in a reusable container, helping reduce the environmental impact of eating to-go food.
